United States- I would like to express my heart-felt thanks and admiration or Mr. Liu. I was an overweight, frightened and reclusive boy in the early 1980s. My local television station (WDIV Detroit,MI ) began broadcasting Shaw Brothers films, and I had the unparallelled pleasure of seeing Mr. Liu's work in 36 Chambers. I have been a huge fan ever since and used the morality and courage exemplified by the roles Mr. Liu acted as personal lessons and affirmations in my life. I may never have occasion to tell this personal hero of mine face to face how much his work and recently,his inner strength has inspired me. So I will be content with making my thanks,love and appreciation for this more than human hero of mine,known here. Strength,Health and Happiness for you Mr. Liu.

I had only come to know of Mr. Gordon Liu recently. After watching the 36th Chamber of Shaolin movie, I felt inspired again after a very long time. The character San Te portrayed a very determined individual. This reminded me of myself. It was only after I googled Mr. Liu I learned of his major stroke. I hope you get better soon Mr. Liu as I would love to see you up and 'kicking' again! Kind Regards!
